Key Partnerships and Collaborations in 2025

XRP is the digital currency that is owned by Ripple Labs and runs on XRP Ledger (XRPL). It has partnered with multiple banks, offering low-cost transactions, secure space for international payment, instant finality, and enhanced money translation. Ripple’s key partner is Santander, which launched One Pat FX using the Ripple technology for international transactions.

One more prominent collaboration is with American Express, which partnered with Ripple to create a cross-border payment belt between the US and the UK. PNC Financial Services has adopted Ripple’s Current platform for secure and affordable international transfers, while Standard Chartered and Euro Exim Bank have incorporated RippleNet to streamline their global settlement process.

Furthermore, SBI Holdings actively promoted Ripple’s technology in Asia via SBI Ripple Asia, with the goal of increasing XRP’s utilization in financial services and remittances. Regulatory Clarity: The Ongoing SEC Battle and Its Impact

The SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple Labs in December 2020. The SEC accused Ripple of constituting unregistered sales of XRP. Ripple argued in their difference that XRP is a digital currency, not a security.

In August 2024, Judge Analisa Torres ruled that Ripple’s institutional sales violated securities laws while programmatic sales to rental investors did not, resulting in a fine of $125 million and a ban on institutional sales. However, with the recent shift in SEC’s stance and leadership change after Donald Trump won the election, the legal battle may soon conclude.

This will bring more regulatory clarity, boost investor confidence, and allow Ripple to expand its business freely. Overall, Ripple is collaborating, updating, and innovating, as well as dealing with legal issues while making price surges by overcoming all the hurdles.
